PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the labor and time to be required for the rewriting work of a program stored in a monitoring terminal and to reduce various costs related to the work. SOLUTION: In the case of rewriting an elevator monitor/control program stored in an elevator monitoring terminal 2 for monitoring the state of an elevator 4, a prescribed management number displayed on a display part of an information center device in an information center 8 is selected and then 'elevator' is selected, so that the information center device transmits elevator monitor/control program rewriting command data to an information terminal 1 through a telephone line 6, a control part 11 in the terminal 1 transmits the command data to the terminal 2 through a communication port 15, starts an elevator monitoring terminal management program previously stored in a ROM 12 and monitors the rewriting operation of the elevator monitor/control program. At the time of receiving the command data, the control part 21 drives only an OS and an information terminal communication program stored in the ROM 22 and executes the rewriting of the elevator monitor/control program.
