PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To call a data communication device from a central controller to attain a line connection even in the case of the change of the connection line of the data communication device. SOLUTION: In this management system for image forming device, plural image forming devices 100 supposed to be remotely diagnosed and a central controller 260 are connected to each other through a data communication device 200 and a public line 250, and centralized remote management of image forming devices 100 is performed by the central controller 260. The data communication device 200 has a storage means, where its original telephone number is stored, and is provided with a telephone number check function which checks this original telephone number and a telephone number to which it is actually connected. The central controller 260 has a storage means, where the original telephone number of the data communication device is stored, and is provided with a telephone number check function which checks the original telephone number of the data communication device and the telephone number to which it is actually connected.
