So as to eliminate the borders outside the common areas of the images, a common area outside eliminating section (19) replaces the colors outside the common areas with the background colors of the common areas. An image output unit (5) of the authoring device (1) outputs the data on the image after the replacement for all the pages as the contents of an electronic book.
