摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a correct steering angle at all times. SOLUTION: A rectilinear motion state of a vehicle is detected once and a steering neutral point N is set. A difference between the set value N of the steering neutral point and a neutral position CNZ of a steering angle sensor is stored as an offsetα, When the vehicle runs afterwards, the steering neutral point N is obtained by operations with the use of the offset stored valueα, and an output of the steering angle sensor is calibrated with the operated value N of the steering neutral point. Once the rectilinear motion state of the vehicle is detected and the offset is obtained, a correct steering angle can be detected at all times without detecting the rectilinear motion state of the vehicle every time the vehicle runs.
