PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity and to facilitate a measure against noise by forming a substrate for controlling a card reader out of substrates having mutually different functions so as to speedily cope with specification different for every user, without remarkable increase in cost due to the change of a substrate and so as to eliminate complication in substrate management. SOLUTION: The card reader for recording and/or reproducing data to an information recording medium has a substrate for controlling the card reader and the substrate consists of a CPU/memory substrate C and a driver substrate D1, and the area of the substrate C is made smaller than that of the substrate D1. The substrate C is a CPU/memory substrate where a CPU/memory circuit block is mounded. The substrate D1 is a thermal head driver mounted with a power device circuit block for driving respective power devices such as the printing part, the erasing part and the buzzer of a thermal head, a printing unit and erasing unit vertically driving motor, a driving motor for carrying a card, etc. |
