PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a machinery device to be designed hereafter by outputting similar machinery device information concerning some similar machinery device having similar specification when specification information concerning the specification of some machinery device is inputted, to effectively utilize characteristic factor graphic tree structure information prepared at the time of diagnosing a fault. SOLUTION: Specification information on a newly designated machinery device is inputted to a designing specification inputting part 17 and the inputted specification information on the newly designated machinery device is outputted to a designing quality verifying main system 18. A similar machine specifying system 19 to which the specification information on the newly designated machinery device is inputted acquires information on the extracting method of a similar machinery device recorded in a similar machinery device inferring method storage device 20. Then the system 19 acquiring information on the extracting method of the similar machinery device acquires similar machinery device information concerning the similar machinery device meeting a prescribed condition from a machinery device fault information storing device 10 and a machinery device characteristic information storing device 11.
