摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snubber circuit, which can suppress efficiently a surge voltage and a surge current which are applied to a rectifier and a switching power supply device, which employs the snubber circuit and has high output stability and high efficiency. SOLUTION: Series connection units, composed of capacitors 10 and 13 and resistors 11 and 14, are connected in parallel to rectifiers 8 and 9 respectively. Diodes 12 and 15 are connected in parallel to the resistors 11 and 14, so as to make currents flow in the same directions as those of currents applied to the rectifiers 8 and 9. With this constitution, the snubber effects of snubber circuits 34 and 35 are not disturbed, when the rectifiers 8 and 9 are turned off, and discharge current of charge accumulated in the capacitors 10 and 13 are not applied to the resistors 11 and 14 of the snubber circuits 34 and 35 when the rectifiers 8 and 9 are turned on, so that unnecessary loss can be suppressed.
