PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a prescribed device via a network even when an image or an audio signal is outputted in a form of an analog signal by storing data to specify itself on a network and inserting a signal corresponding to the data to an analog signal. SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing section 11 of a digital video cassette recorder 1 reads data recorded on a loaded digital video cassette, reproduces an analog video signal and gives it to an ID insertion section 12. A control section 14 reads a node ID of the digital video cassette recorder 1 stored in a memory 13 and gives it to the ID insertion section 12. The ID insertion section 12 generates a node ID signal based on the node ID fed from the control section 14 and superimposes the node ID signal on a specific line for a vertical blanking period of the analog video signal fed from the recording and reproducing section 11. Then the analog video signal on which the node ID signal is superimposed is outputted.
