PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal processor that can execute both conversion processing and error propagation processing of a color signal at a high speed with a small scale circuit configuration. SOLUTION: This signal processor 11 is provided with a signal correction circuit 13 that corrects an input signal C in eight bits per pixel sequentially received for every line by using a quantization error of peripheral pixels caused by quantization processing so far, a quantization circuit 24 that converts an input signal P after the circuit by the circuit 13 into an output signal Z in four bits per pixel, an error calculation circuit 15 that calculates a quantization error E by the quantization circuit 14, and an error feedback circuit 16 that feeds back the quantization error E to the signal correction circuit 13. Furthermore, a conversion table used for the quantization processing by the quantization circuit 14 and for the error calculation processing by the error calculation circuit 15 is integrated in a memory (a memory accessible from the quantization circuit 14).
