DEFROST OPERATION CONTROL APPARATUS FOR REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A defrost operation control apparatus for refrigerator is provided to achieve an optimum defrost operation by varying the defrost operation cycle of evaporator in accordance with the amount of humidity change in the refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a controller(20) for controlling cooling and defrost operation; a temperature set unit(22) for allowing a user to set the desired temperature for refrigerator; a temperature detector(23) installed within the refrigerator so as to detect the temperature of the refrigerator; an outdoor air temperature detector(24) for detecting the change of ambient temperature; a humidity detector(25) arranged inside the refrigerator so as to detect the humidity of the air existing within the refrigerator; a door open/shut sensor(26) for sensing the open/shut state of the door; a blower fan(28) arranged within the refrigerator, and which compulsorily circulates the cooling air generated from an evaporator; a defrost heater(30) for removing the frost formed at the evaporator; a compressor(32) constituting the refrigerating cycle together with the evaporator; a compressor operation time integrating unit(33) for accumulating the compressor operation time; and a power unit(21) for supplying driving power to the controller.
