<p>The assembly kit for creating three-dimensional toy structures comprises a plurality of building blocks (10, 11, 12) of generally rectilinear configuration, connecting plates (20) of elongate rectangular shape, and optional further elements such as e.g. wheel sets. The building blocks (10, 11, 12), connecting plates (20) and optional further elements of the assembly kit are, preferably, made of wood and have a generally prismatic shape confined by substantially plane faces. The plane faces of the building blocks (10, 11, 12) comprise transverse grooves (13) capable of receiving, in a releasable manner, at least one connecting plate (20) for interconnecting at least a pair of adjoining building blocks (10, 11, 12) .The assembly kit also comprises coupling members (30) having a substantially cylindrical shaft portion and the building blocks (10, 11, 12) as well as the connecting plates (20) are provided with a number of thoroughfare bores (14) capable of fittingly receiving the cylindrical shaft portions of the coupling members (30). The assembly kit also comprises, at least as an option, at least one additional building block (12) that is generated either from a building block (10, 11) having a shape of a cube or an elongate prismatic body by cutting away an edge portion of said cube or prismatic body along a section plane enclosing an acute angle with one of the plane faces of said cube or prismatic body.</p> |
