The floor construction has spaced, parallel planks (1,2) fixed with connecting bars (3), with a gutter-shaped drainage element (4) arranged between each pair of adjacent planks. An inwardly facing recess (7,8) is arranged in the facing narrow sides of the planks, and extends from the lower side of each plank to below the upper third of the height of the plank. The recesses extend along the plank parallel to the narrow side direction. Each drainage element is arranged in the space bordered by the inner surfaces of opposite recesses in adjacent planks and the upper edge of the connecting bar.
