GENE ENCODING CYCLIC LIPOPEPTIDE ACYLASE AND EXPRESSION OF THE SAME

Determination of the base sequence in the coding domain of a cyclic lipopeti de acylase; determination of the full amino acid sequence of this acylase; an expression vector containing a gene encoding the above enzyme; and a process for producing the cyclic lipopeptide acylase by expressing the above expression vector in a host cell. Use of a transformant, which has an activi ty comparable to acylase obtained by culturing a conventional cyclic lipopeptid e acylase-producing strain and has been constructed genetic engineeringly, mak es it possible to shorten the culture time (i.e., the time for producing acylas e).
