摘要 PURPOSE: A slide bearing and method for manufacturing the same is provided to achieve improved load-carrying capacity and fatigue strength, while preventing oil loss. CONSTITUTION: A slide bearing(1) comprises a steel-back metal(11); an iron family sintered alloy layer(12) which is sintered at a temperature of 1,065 to 1,095 Deg.C and simultaneously bonded to the steel-back metal, and composed of copper 10 to 30 weight parts and an iron; and a dry type lubricating agent contained in the iron family sintered alloy layer. The dry type lubricating agent is a graphite 0.1 weight part to 6.5 weight parts, or a molybdenum disulfide 0.1 weight part to 7.0 weight parts. A method comprises a first step of inserting a copper plated steel-back metal into the frame of mold having a hollow portion for installation of a core, and a lower press member arranged at the lower end of the mold; a second step of filling the gap between the core and the steel-back metal with a metal mixture powder composed of a copper 10 to 30 weight parts, graphite 6.5 weight parts or lower, and an iron, and inserting an upper press member to the upper portion of the frame; a third step of molding the metal mixture powder by pressing the upper or lower press member at a pressure of 50 to 300kg/cm¬2; and a fourth step of maintaining the resultant structure and the steel-back metal at a temperature of 1,065 to 1,095 Deg.C under a gas atmosphere.
