PURPOSE: A method for processing an inter processor communication message of a full electronic exchange is provided to smoothly transmit and receive the inter processor message by selecting an indirect path when fault is generated in a node and by transmitting and receiving the inter processor message. CONSTITUTION: A path for transmitting and receiving an inter processor message is selected, and it is checked whether fault is generated in a node(ST10). If the fault is generated in the node, an indirect path is selected according to the control of a path controller, and it is checked whether the fault is generated in a new node(ST13). If the fault is not generated in the new node, the inter processor message is transmitted and received and it is checked whether the fault is generated in the node(ST12). If the fault is generated in the new node, an inter processor communication is ended(ST14).
