The invention relates to a transport device for unit loads in sheet form, consisting of driven flat belts (1, 2). The unit load is positioned between the opposing belt surfaces (3, 4) of said flat belts. The flat belts (1, 2) are guided by rollers (8), located on the belt surfaces (6, 7) which face away from each other. The belt pulley (9) of the roller (8) is configured in such a way that it has a division (24, 31), from which a measurement value can be recorded, using a sensor.
