The invention relates to a measuring sensor for determining a concentration of gas constituents in gaseous mixtures. The inventive sensor comprises a first measuring electrode (mixture potential electrode) which does not catalyze or only slightly catalyzes the establishment of equilibrium in the gaseous mixture, in addition to a second measuring electrode (equilibrium electrode) which catalyzes the establishment of equilibrium in the gaseous mixture. The inventive sensor further comprises a solid electrolyte which is arranged between the two measuring electrodes and which conducts oxygen ions, whereby the two measuring electrodes are exposed to the gaseous mixture. According to the invention, at least the first measuring electrode (16) is a cermet electrode, whereby at least one metal oxide constituent of the cermet electrode can reversibly store oxygen.
