The connector (10) links the lamp (11) to a flexible hose (16) at the end of which is a pick-up magnet (18). In one form the connector has two counter bored holes, one (13) for the insertion of the end of the lamp fitting and a second (12) in which the end of the hose is inserted. A fixing screw (19) engages with the threaded end of the hose to hold them together
