The system has cameras (1) and proximity sensors (3) for detecting a hazard situation and sending messages to a central station. The cameras secure an inner area (2) and the proximity sensors secure an outer area (4) enclosing the inner area. The cameras are arranged in the outer area and their images are subjected to automatic image evaluation to filter out non-definite movements of objects. Moving objects are the subjects of messages sent to the central station.
