Armrest with incorporated display

The armrest has an integral display device (6) that can be deployed from within the end of the armrest (2) by an electric motor. The display device is designed to be able to be pivoted into the deployed end position either manually or automatically. The upper side of the armrest has at least one switch element for actuating the electric motor.
