Magnetic compass has casing, bowl with gimbal suspension and magnetic sensing element, and deviation instrument positioned in casing under bowl on arc-shaped clamp rigidly-connected to casing. Deviation instrument may move along arc-shaped clamp and may be fixed in position. Magnetic compass provided with deviation instrument may be mounted on inclined base.
