<p>A chain saw comprising a chain wheel (11) which is rotationally mounted in a housing (10) and pertains to a chain saw (12) which is guided on a chain guide (13), and a chain tensioning device (14) for longitudinal displacement of the chain guide (13) . The inventive chain saw is provided with an eccentric (15) which displaces the chain guide (13) and a rotating member (17) which causes the eccentric to rotate. In order to ensure an optimum amount of user-independent chain tension for the work process, the rotating link between the rotating member (17) and the eccentric (15) is configured as a safety clutch system (18) whereby the force of said safety clutch is regulated according to the required chain tension.</p> |
