PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double action slide press constituted so that press forming in two places can be performed by one cycle by driving the slide along a free process curve. SOLUTION: On a double action slide press 1, a lower bolster 5 and an upper bolster 6 which are fixed on a press frame 2 are arranged so that they are opposed to both faces of a slide 4. On the bottom surface of the slide 4, a first movable die 8 is mounted, on the lower bolster 5 a first fixed die 9 is mounted, and a first forming part 10 is formed. On the upper surface of the slide 4, a second movable die 13 is mounted, on the upper bolster 6 a second fixed die 14 is mounted, and a second forming part 15 is formed. The slide 4 is reciprocated while describing a free process curve in the vertical direction by a servomotor or a linear motor.
