PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep pulverizing capability high and to hardly cause self-oscillation by devising the structure of pulverizing rollers rolled on the upper surface on the outer peripheral side of a turntable. SOLUTION: In a roller mill by which solid fuel or solid material is pulverized by plural pulverizing rollers 4' which are rolled which being applied with a load on the upper surface on the outer peripheral side of a turntable, the pulverizing rollers are freely rotatably supported by a shaft 21 and bearings 15, 16. The diameter of the shaft corresponding to a bracket is made larger than that of the shaft corresponding to the bearings. The shaft of large diameter is extended up to the inside of the width of the effective pulverizing surfaces of the pulverizing rollers. The connection part of the shaft of large diameter with the shaft of small diameter is rounded into a radius of curvature R, and the diameter D of the shaft of small diameter satisfies the condition of 2 R/D>0.2. When the distance between a pair of bearings is defined as L and the width of the effective pulverizing surface of the pulverizing rollers is defined as W, they satisfy the relation of L/W<0.55.
