PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent coming off of a legless chair out of a retaining means by buoyancy. SOLUTION: The shower carriage to accommodate a person who cannot stand by him(her)self is composed of a mutually separable legless chair 42 and a carriage member 44, and is provided with lateral upper and lower connecting members on front and rear face of the legless chair 42. A hydraulic lift 12 possesses an elevating/descending member 14 to elevate/descend the legless chair 42. A middle connecting member 18 is hinged to the elevating/ descending member 14, and the middle connecting member 18 is hinged to a holding device 22 extending vertically. To the upper part of the holding device 22 is fixed a first holding member to retain the upper connecting member and to the lower part of the holding device is fixed a second holding member to retain the lower connecting member. The holding device 22 fixes the legless chair with the first and second holding members, and thus the holding device 22 can be made to a single rod.
