PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clear image by thermal transfer by setting a weight ratio of a polyester resin to a coloring agent within a specific range and setting a content of an organic solvent to a coating composition within a specific range. SOLUTION: A polyester resin is constituted of a polybasic acid component and a polyhybric alcohol component in such a manner that a range of an oxidation is 8 to 40 mgKOH/g, a glass transition temperature is 40 deg.C or higher, and a number-average molecular weight is 2,000 to 15,000. A terephthatic acid component of the polybasic acid component is 50 to 95 mol % and an isophthalic acid component is 5 to 50 mol %. A component having a bisphenol structure of the polyhydric alcohol component or a cyclohexanedimethanol component is 10 to 50 mol %. A coloring agent is contained in the coating composition, an ammonia or an organic amine compound is contained as a basic compound, and its boiling point is set at 160 deg.C or lower. As the organic solvent, one having a boiling point of 150 deg.C or lower is selected from a ketone, alcohol, and glycol derivative. Thus, a recording material can be clearly transferred. |
