PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head, golf club and golf club set which are small in the fluctuation of the carry and flying direction of a ball accompanying the fluctuation in a hitting position. SOLUTION: The three main axes of the ellipsoid of inertia, which is the ellipsoid of inertia of the golf club head and which main axes intersect orthogonally with each other at its origin, are defined as the axis I1 axis I2 and axis I3 in order of the larger inertia moment around these main axes. The club face is so formed that the ratio (A/B) of the cross-sectional area A when the ellipsoid of inertia described above is cut at a plane passing the origin and paralleling the club face and the cross-sectional area B when the ellipsoid of inertia is cut at a plane inclusive of the axis I1 and the axis I2 attains >=1 to <=1.4.
