PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent flame propagation in an auxiliary chamber and to suppress a supply of excessive fuel gas for ignition. SOLUTION: The auxiliary chamber system 1 of a gas engine operates an ignition plug 5 and an auxiliary chamber gas valve 6, a flame is generated in an auxiliary chamber 2 formed in the cylinder head CH of a gas engine GE, and a generating flame is propagated from the auxiliary chamber 2 to a main combustion chamber 3. In this case, an ignition plug mounting recessed part 4 is further separated from the main combustion chamber 3 than from the auxiliary chamber 2 and communicates with the auxiliary chamber 2 and is provided with the ignition plug 5 and the auxiliary chamber gas valve 6.
