PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly disperse an insecticide into a foamed body without using any solvent to provide a sufficient insect-proofing effect in an insect-proof heat insulating material foamed and molded from a foaming raw material solution dispersively containing the insecticide by dispersing the insecticide having a melting point within a prescribed temperature range into the foamed body. SOLUTION: This insect-proof heat insulating material is formed of a foamed body foamed and molded by use of a foaming raw material solution. In this insect-proof heat insulating material, an insecticide having a melting point of 35-150 deg.C is dispersed in the foamed body to impart a preventing effect against the insect damage by termites thereto. The powdery insecticide is mixed to at least one of the foaming raw material solutions, for example, polyol component-side foaming raw material solution, and the insecticide is melted and stirred, whereby an insecticide-containing raw material solution uniformly dispersed with the molten insecticide is prepared. This is cooled to a prescribed temperature, preferably quenched to recrystallize the insecticide to form a raw material in which the insecticide is dispersed in fine crystal state.
