CORROSION PROTECTION OF WEATHER RESISTANT STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion protection process for weather resistant steel with reduced number of steps, effective for keeping the rustproofness and weather resistance over a long period and enabling arbitrary coloring of the steel. SOLUTION: A corrosion protection coating material containing a rustproofing agent is applied to the surface of a weather resistant steel to a dried film thickness of 30-60μm and dried. The coated steel is further coated with a color coating material capable of forming a coating film having a gloss retention of >=80% after the irradiation with an accelerated weathering test sunshine weather meter for 300 hr to a dried film thickness of 20-40μm and the coating layer is dried to achieve the corrosion protection treatment.
