PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a faucet device from becoming hard to be operated due to invasion of foreign matter such as chemicals and fine dust into an engagement part of an operation shaft to drive a valve element with a shaft case, or from being deteriorated by chemicals or the like invading into a sealed part or the operation shaft. SOLUTION: In this faucet device, an operation shaft 18 is engaged in a cylindrical shaft case 20, and by operating a handle 12 connected to the operation shaft 18 outside the shaft case 20, valve elements 34, 36 are driven by the operation shaft 18. A circular groove 38 extended in a circumferential direction is provided in an outer surface of the shaft case 20 close to a shaft end at a position hidden on the inner side of the handle 12.
