PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medal selecting mechanism for a game machine to select medals on the basis of their thickness. SOLUTION: A medal selecting hole 24 to allow the passage of a medal M3 less than a predetermined thickness and to block the passage of a medal M1 of the predetermined thickness or more is provided at the midpoint of the bottom part of the medal guide path 20 of a game machine in which medals M are moved as rolling. A small-diameter medal rejecting means to reject medals less than a predetermined diameter to the side of the medal guide path 20 is provided at the midpoint of the medal guide path 20, and the medal selecting hole 24 is provided in alignment with the selecting location of the small-diameter medal rejecting means.
