PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for external use for the skin usable, without anxiety, to anyone having an oversensitive skin and useful as a base cosmetic or the like by including a specific saccharide-bound polymer and polysulfated polysaccharide. SOLUTION: This composition for external use for the skin is obtained by including (A) pref. 0.01-10 wt.%, more pref. 0.05-1 wt.% of a saccharide-bound polymer where group containing, as constituent unit, a saccharide pref. such as glucose is covalent-bound to a polymer base pref. such as an acrylic resin (e.g. a glucosyloxyethyl methacrylate homopolymer), and (B) pref. 0.001-10 wt.%, more pref. 0.05-5 wt.% of a polysulfated polysaccharide pref. such as a heparinoid.
