<p>1420422 Reciprocating pumps; rotary positivedisplacement pumps TOKYO KEIKI KK 11 Dec 1973 [28 Dec 1972] 57293/73 Headings F1A and F1F A pump having a low noise and pulsation output comprises a plurality of pump units, e.g. piston, vane or gear pumps, each having a plurality of displacement elements, i.e. pistons, vanes or gear teeth, the pump units being connected to a common outlet and driven simultaneously with a phase shift between them of 360 degrees divided by the product of the number of pump units times the number of displacement elements in each unit. In Figs 3 and 4 (not shown), two vane pumps are mounted on a common shaft. In Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), two axial piston pumps are arranged backto-back with their pistons engaging opposite sides of a common swash-plate. In Fig. 7 (not shown), two axial piston pump units engage a common valve plate and have respective swash-plates inclined either in the same direction, or opposite directions, Fig. 8 (not shown). In Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown), the pump units are substituted by two sets of concentrically arranged axial pistons in a common cylinder block with respective pairs of inlet and outlet ports and a common swash-plate.
