PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent application of shear strain to a connecting rubber-elastic body which interconnects first and second plate-shaped metal fittings at the centers of both metal fittings, while shared load is exerted by the mounting of an engine mount in a vehicle. SOLUTION: With no axial strain applied to a connecting rubber-elastic body 43, a bolt 25 is passed through the inner cylinder metal fitting 41 of a rubber bush 40 mounted on the cylindrical part 12 of an upper plate metal fitting 10, and with shear strain applied to the connecting rubber-elastic body along tensile direction, the bolt is locked with a nut 22 provided at a lower plate metal fitting 20. Under this condition, the upper plate metal fitting is attached to a transmission-side housing and the lower plate metal fitting is attached to a vehicle body frame, so that shared load is applied to the upper plate metal fitting. Displacement applied to the connecting rubber-elastic body in a compressive direction by the shared load cancels out the tensile shear strain to eliminate the shear strain on the connecting rubber-elastic body.
