PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably control an ignition format so as to reduce a discharging quantity of NOx by carrying out an igniting operation in one cycle of an ignition plug which is carried out between a compression stroke and an expansion stroke of an engine for specified times by a prescribed timing. SOLUTION: Output signals of a throttle opening sensor I, a crank angle sensor H, an intake pipe pressure sensor K, and a water temperature sensor J are taken into an electronic control unit, and a current-carrying time as set of ignition energy of n-times ignition is decided corresponding to engine rotating speed and intake pipe pressure by an ignition control means P. An ignition timing and a radiating time of the n-times ignition is decided corresponding to the engine rotating speed and the intake pipe pressure. Each set value decided by the ignition control means P is set to a timer, a signal in relation to an ignition in various set is changed when down-count by a clock set in the electronic control unit N exceeds 0, and for example, ignition processes are carried out three times.
