PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine provided with a lifting lowering device for a cab and having an upper turning body contriving the effective utilization of an instrument installation space. SOLUTION: The construction machine has an upper turning body 3 mounted turnably on the upper part of a lower travelling body 2, a cab 4 arranged liftably in the front part of the upper turning body 3, a deck part 23 formed on the side of the upper turning body positioned downward of the cab 4, a supporter 8 provided below the cab 4 and provided with an inclined face guiding lifting and lowering obliquely rearward of the cab 4, a main cylinder arranged along the inclined face of the supporter 8 and connecting both ends to the upper turning body 3 and the rear part of the cab 4 respectively, a pair of sub-cylinders in which both ends are pivotally mounted to the vicinity of both the right and left sides of the supporter in the deck part 23 and the lower face of both the right and left sides of the front part of the cab, respectively, and an instrument arrangement space formed between a pair of the sub-cylinders in the deck part 23.
