PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component separator having good separation efficiency with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This blood component separator comprises a blood specimen collection member 2 which is constituted by mounting a single needle 4 at the front end of a housing 3, arranging a flow passage switching means in mid-way of this housing 3 and forming an introducing pipe 6 for an anticoagulant agent and an introducing pipe 8 for a return blood component in the side parts of the housing 3 and a blood specimen collection vessel 11 which is extended with a blood component outflow tube near to the bottom. The blood component separator 1 is constituted by connecting the bottom end of the housing 3 and the blood specimen collection vessel 11 via a blood transfer tube 9, connecting the introducing pipe 8 for the return blood component and the blood specimen collection vessel 11 via a blood return tube 20 and connecting an anticoagulant agent-containing vessel 16 via an introducing tube 18 to the introducing pipe 6 for the anticoagulant agent.
