<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball having a good hitting feel and hitting sound in combination and having excellent durability by incorporating particles consisting of material different from a solid core forming material into a solid core at a specific ratio in the solid core and in the state that the particles are not exposed to the core surface. SOLUTION: The golf ball is formed of the solid core 1 and a cover 2 covering the solid core 1. The particles 3 are incorporated into the solid core 1. The particles 3 to be incorporated therein are formed of the material different from the material of the solid core 1. The ratio of the particles to be incorporated is within 15 vol.%, more preferably within 14 vol.%, further more preferably within 13 vol.% of the volume of the solid core 1. The particles are required to be incorporated into the solid core in such a manner that the ratio attains at least >=0.1 vol.%, more preferably >=0.13 vol.% and further preferably >=0.15 vol.%. The incorporation of the particles 3 into the solid core 1 is required to be executed in such a manner that the particles 3 are not exposed on the core surface.</p> |
