PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for ball game eliminating a peeling of a cloth cover during runner's running in or sliding in, resisting staining, and facilitating stain removal. SOLUTION: A base for ball game is provided with a body 1 with a top face 1a and peripheral faces 1b made of rubber, and a cloth cover 2 covering the top face 1a and the peripheral faces 1b. The cover 2 is fixed to the body 1 by infiltrating the rubber from surfaces of the top face and the peripheral faces into the cover 2 and curing the rubber. The cover 2 is fixed to the body 1 securely because the rubber from the body 1 is penetrated between fabrics of the cover 2, thereby preventing a stain from infiltrating into the cover 2, and facilitating the removal of the stain attached to a surface of the cover 2.
