METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOTE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF BASE STATION USING TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for remote maintenance and repair of a base station using a terminal are provided to maintain and repair a base station located at a place to which a direct approach is difficult by remotely interfacing with the base station using a terminal and observing and controlling the state of the base station by means of a secondary interface connected to the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A primary interface connected to a base station wirelessly and a secondary interface connected to the secondary interface by wire are provided to perform the maintenance and repair of the base station in a first step. The primary interface establishes a wireless link with the base station under control of the secondary interface in a second step. The secondary interface performs a command for maintenance and repair of the base station through the primary interface in a third step. When remote maintenance and repair are finished, the wireless link is released in a fourth step.
