摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable correct measurement of blood pressure having optimal rate of slow leakage independent of the thickness of an arm band adjusted to the arm, by arrangement of a plurality of slow leakage valves in the apparatus, corresponding to the capacity of the air bag of the arm band. SOLUTION: A blood pressure gauge is provided with a plurality of slow leakage valves. They are adjusted to the optimal slow leaking rate (ca.2-5 mmHg/sec) which corresponds to the air bag capacity of an ordinary sized arm band 1. An auxiliary slow leakage valve 12 together with the slow leakage valve 4, or in other words by cooperation of the auxiliary slow leakage valve 12 and the slow leakage valve 4, is adjusted to the optimal slow leaking rate corresponding to the air bag capacity of a bigger arm band 11. When a bigger arm band 11 is used, the slow leakage valve 4 and the auxiliary slow leakage valve 12 operate simultaneously, and when an ordinary sized arm band 11 is used, only the slow leakage valve 4 operates. Thus, it permits accurate measurement of the blood pressure independent of the thickness of the arm band.
