PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking device by which working efficiency is greatly improved compared to devices of conventional heating systems. SOLUTION: A deep vertical crack V with inclination is formed in a glass plate 1 by using a glass cutter wheel in which grooves having inclination of a prescribed angle toward a shaft center direction of the wheel are formed at prescribed pitches at a ridge line of a blade edge of the disk-shaped wheel. Thereby clipping is attained to the glass plate by a simple mechanism such as punching by a header 51, cutting off by vacuum-suction and lifting by a sucker.
