HYDROCORTISONE BUTYRATE PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject preparation excellent in antiphlogistic and antipruritic effect and improved in stability with the lapse by formulating an antihistaminic agent into hydrocortisone butyrate wherein the antihistaminic agent shows a specified range of pH when dissolved in water. SOLUTION: This preparation is obtained by formulating (B) an antihistamic agent which shows pH 4-6 when dissolved in water into (A) hydrocortisone butyrate. The antihistamic agent of the component B can be chlorpheniramine maleate, diphenhydramine hydrochloride, diphenylpyraline hydrochloride, carbinoxamine maleate or isothipendyl hydrochloride. The blending ratio of the component A is preferably 0.02-0.2 wt.% more preferably 0.05-0.1 wt.% and the blending ratio of the component B is preferably 0.01-3 wt.% more preferably 0.02-2 wt.%. The preferable dosage form of preparation is ointment, cream or solution.
