PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle structure of an electric vehicle that can easily be fitted to a vehicle body using an existing rigid axle suspension. SOLUTION: In this axle structure of an electric vehicle, an electric motor that works as a drive source and a reducer that reduces revolution of axles coupled coaxially with the electric motor to transmit the rotation to wheels are disposed corresponding to left and right wheels of the vehicle WL, WR. This structure comprises an electric motor case 12 for accommodating the electric motor, a reducer case 14 for accommodating the reducer, an axle case 13 that has a smaller outer diameter D2 than that of respective electric motor case and reducer case and disposed therebetween to accommodate the axles, and a seat 23 for a leaf spring 6 disposed on the outer wall of the axle case 13.
