PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric loss and heat generation in a sealed coil. SOLUTION: This gradient coil uses a partially sealed coil 1Zts and 1Zbs with winding arranged only on the region of high winding density region 1Zp, instead of complete face of the winding of main gradient coil 1Zt and 1Zb. Thus, the winding number of the sealed coil can be reduced, leading to reduced electric loss and heat generation. In addition, since necessary sealing performance can be obtained, deterioration of image quality due to harmful influences of residual magnetism in the magnetic element is avoided.
