PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute fuse-separation of a brazing filler metal from a core material by dipping an aluminum alloy brazing sheet scrap composed of the brazing filler metal and the core material having an m.p. higher than that of the brazing filler metal into liquid which is kept at a temp. lower than the m.p. of the core material and higher than the m.p. of the brazing filler metal and has a sp.gr. different from the sp.gr. of the brazing filler metal above a specified value. SOLUTION: Chip scrap 6 of an aluminum alloy brazing sheet for heat exchangers, or the like, composed of the brazing filler metal and the core material having the higher m.p. than that of the brazing filler metal, is held in a permeation supporting member 3 (made of ceramics or steel), and dipped into the fused liquid 4 which is heated to the lower temp. than the m.p. of the core material and to the higher temp. than the m.p. of the brazing filler metal in a crucible 1 to execute the fuse-separation of the brazing filler metal from the core material. At this time, as the fused liquid 4, a fused salt having a sp.gr. different from the sp.gr. the brazing filler metal by >=0.3 is used which can be selected from NaNO3, KNO3, NaNO2, KNO2, NaCl, BaCl2, LiCl, is selected from among LiBr, LiNO2, NaF, KF, AlF3, and the like, and the dipping time is regulated to within about 30 min.
|
