PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet accumulation device for accumulating the quantities of paper sheet bundles when the bundles gathered by a gathering machine are delivered rearward from the gathering machine. SOLUTION: A gathering machine 50 having paper feeding stages 2a-2j is placed on a pedestal 15, and delivers rearward a paper sheet bundle gathered by a carrying belt 62 and a paper delivery roller 63, to carry the bundle to a paper sheet accumulation device 70. The device 70 is elevatingly operated by a power transmission mechanism for a drive motor 51, deceleration and idling sprockets 52 and 53, and a chain 57. The bundles are placed on a paper sheet receiving mount 56 installed on the upper part of an elevating mount 55, to accumulate the bundles with end parts displaced alternately by a sorting motor 54, a clank plate 58, and a clank. The mount 55 lowers the side surface of the pedestal 15 in order following the accumulation of the bundle. |
