PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate releasing a hook member and a hook receiving member. SOLUTION: A protective cover 1 is equipped with a pair of cover main bodies 10A and 10B for surrounding the outer peripheral surface of a bobbin for a coated optical fiber, and two sets of lock members composed of a hook member 15, for connectedly fixing the mating main bodies 10A and 1-B, and a hook receiving member 16. The member 15 is formed of nearly a U-shaped plate spring, and a locking projection 17 is provided between a folding back part 15a and a free end part 15b in the member 15. The member 16 is provided with a penetration hole part 16a inserting the member 15. The folding back part 15a and the projection 17 in the member 15 penetrate the hole part 16a, to obtain a locked condition by hooking the projection 17 to an unconnected side end surface in the member 16.
