PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the symmetricalness of the flow of the resin in a cavity by eliminating the arrival time lag of a molding resin to two gates of the cavity of a mold for molding a molded article having a plane symmetric shape. SOLUTION: A mold has cavities 6a, 6b having a shape symmetric to the plane O-O' vertical to the split surface 10 of the mold, two gates 5a-5d provided to the cavity wall surfaces by two at the positions symmetric to the vertical surfaces of the cavities, the sprue 1 arranged to the split surface 10 and the runners 2a, 2b, 3a-3d equal in length reaching the gates 5a-5d. Branched resin sumps 4a-4d are provided on the way of the final branch runners 3a-3d reaching the gates and at least either one of two resin sumps provided to the final branch runners reaching two gates of each cavity in a branched state houses a resin in a variable amt.
